Great Wall Owner's Forum - 4x4 and 4x2 Vehicles

here i will post to you some old models of gwm cars, it's called deer (pick up) and safe( jeep):



so this is a deer model, it use 2.2 toyota 4y engine, have 78 kw
this car is based on 2001 hilux and have many original toyota parts on it
it's was very easy to drive with strong 4x4 system with front lock
it was available in 5 versions, single cab, double cab with standard, medium and extra long cargo box
i had two models, standard and extra long...i really like this car, pure classic 4x4

this is a safe model, based on old toyota 4 runner amazing car, very popular in russia


mainly this car is almost identical like deer, in late 2008 it was offered with mitsubishi 4g64 engine as well, while basic was toyota 2.2 4y gasoline engine with 78 kw
from equipments all cars had luxury equipment like leather seats, central lock, power windows and steering, all what you need for safe and comfortable drive

those older models don't have abs or airbag system, however they was very heavy and strong and i feel quite safe in them

safe was also available in 4x2 only...here is a photo of it, quite nice gold color

this is a photos from media presentation in februrary 2006 at old olympic center in sarajevo, bosnia and herzegovina (ex yugoslavia), it was a first time ever that press in "europe" if we can call it ) have chance to drive chinese vehicles, all of those cars are still driving have have respected milage for now, the last orange hover have over 120.000 km

during 2008 i buy my first wingle, or in australia v240:


it was already nice car to drive, but this one on the photo is diesel engine, 2.8 tc
car have all possible equipment, leader seats, central lock, power windows, abs, airbags, all

i pass with this car between 60.000 km when i sold to and now i will buy a new one

here is a photo of engine, it's a based on isuzu 4jb1 engine, quiet and reliable
have only 70 kw from 2800 ccm, new versions are available with 80 and 85 kw, i don't know if you all now this but in china there is a strong law on force about power of engine and fuel regulations
car have solid acceleration and top speed between 160, can carry 1000 kg without problem
also it was a fuel saver...only 7-8 liters of diesel fuel per 100 km/h, it have bosch common rail sistem and mitsubishi turbo

at same time we also buy for test 1 diesel x240 or hover, driving skills are almost identical like pick up
also this car don't have such bad acceleration because of gearbox ratio, it's was quite good up to 100 km/h, after that it was slow to top speed 150-160 km/h, i can compare it to my old mitsubishi l200 2.5 diesel which have also 74 kw, type of driving is almost identical

also worth of mention, engine is euro 3, that mean very easy can be driven on regular diesel engine, we never got any problems with common rail sistem or other, simply regular service and drive, don't know where is this car now..we sold it 3 year ago as test car

at beijing auto show 2006 i also sow motor-home vehicle, this is a car based on old sailor(sa 220) model

i had chance to drive small passenger cars as well, all possible models, i don't have photos of coolbear and florid models, but here is a photo of small gw peri, quite attractive small car, 1.3 efi engine inside with 63 kw, damn goes fast as hell , nice test polygon they got there...you can drive like F1 driver

here is another MPV...called cowry, based on toyota noah, it have strong mitsubishi 2.0 mivec engine with 143 HP, it's also big car and ideal for family, very nice to drive, goes almost 190 with this engine, i like this car very much
